Lay Leader: Sherry Anne Bryant
Church Administrator: Sara Herwig
Sara Herwig joined the staff as the Church Administrator in July 2013. A former candidate for ordination to ministry in the Presbyterian Church USA, she has a wide range of church experience including teaching, preaching, as an Elder in the PCUSA, and as Clerk of the Session of her church. She is a graduate of Sterling College, in Sterling, KS, and of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in S. Hamilton, MA on the North Shore. She enjoys a wide range of music from classical to Old Time fiddle tunes, bicycling, kayaking and hiking. She lives in Acton with her spouse and two cats.

Director of Music: Dave Shrewsbury
Dave Shrewsbury’s love of music started at his childhood church in southern West Virginia. This love turned his passion into a career and lifelong adventure which brought him to Community UMC as the pianist / organist in 2001. His weekdays are spent producing and mixing music that is heard on radio and TV stations across the country. Dave also regularly plays piano, keyboards, and Hammond B3 organ professionally for recording sessions and live concerts. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, his musical influences span a huge variety of styles, both secular and sacred, and his musical skills include not only keyboard instruments, but also guitar, bass, drums, and saxophone. Dave lives in Arlington with his wife, Allison, and their two young children.

Pastor: Rebecca Cho
Rev. Rebecca Cho was appointed to Community UMC in July 2019. Prior to moving to Wayland, she served as pastor of First United Methodist Church in Stoughton since 2011. She earned her undergraduate degree in French at the University of Wisconsin- Madison and her Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology. Her husband, Sunmin, is also a pastor serving at Open Table of Christ UMC in Providence, RI. They live in Wayland with their three young children and niece. Pastor Rebecca has particular interests in prison ministry and ministry with people experiencing homelessness. In her free time, she enjoys writing, hiking, baking and spending time with her kids.
