Sunday School
We value the gifts of our children and youth, and they are fully-involved in our community life!
On Sunday morning, our young people serve as acolytes and greeters, and in worship each week lead the congregation in prayer. After the children's message, the younger children can attend their classes. Children aged 3 through Grade 5 have classes that meet weekly. Middle- and high-school youth meet 1-2 times a month. In-depth Confirmation classes for older youth are conducted as needed. Nursery care is available for infants and toddlers.
The children have many opportunities to offer their talents to both our church family and the wider community by volunteering: organizing an Imagine No Malaria benefit; helping prepare food for the soup kitchen; making and delivering crafts for a local nursing home; helping out during coffee hour. We welcome their enthusiasm and energy! In addition to our regular Sunday school classes, we have numerous special Sundays throughout the year, from major productions (the Christmas pageant, Church School Sunday, Easter Sunday egg hunts) to smaller events (such as Pretzel Sunday and Pink Sunday). We always have a lot of fun (and sometimes make a mess!). |
